Meet the Characters

Aidie is curious, brave and full of heart. Her name comes from the word Aid — because every Dog Hero starts with helping. Based on Sue's beautiful niece Asel, who at just three years old already shows the same kindness and courage that makes Aidie the Dog Hero she is.

Remi is energetic, funny and lightning fast — always ready for action. His name comes from the word Remedy — because sometimes the best remedy is knowing what to do. Based on Sue's wonderful nephew Can Deniz, who at four years old has the same unstoppable energy and cheeky spark that brings Remi to life on every page.

Patch is dramatic, funny and completely loveable — just like the real dog who inspired him. Pug was our beloved family pug, there for every milestone and every moment. He also played a very special role — helping a certain clumsy Dobermann puppy find his feet and his heart.

Kai is the wise, warm vet who guides our Dog Heroes. Kaiser was our magnificent Dobermann — daft and hilarious as a puppy, shaped into a gentle giant by his best friend Pug. In his elder years, the wisest, most gentle soul. Gone too soon, but never forgotten.
